China and the United States seem to be running away with most of the medals in this 2012 Olympics. As of this morning China leads the way with 17 gold and 30 total medals. I came across an interesting statement. If the population of China walked past you, in single file, the line would never end because of the rate of reproduction. Kinda scary, huh?

With more than 1.32 billion people – China has the largest population in the world. China reached the 1 billion mark in 1982 and in less than 30 years they added population equal to that of the United States.
