The Most Devastating Bills Moment Ever Happened One Year Ago Today
Happy Anniversary to one of the worst moments in Buffalo Bills history.
Western New York is still reeling over another gut-wrenching playoff loss for their beloved Buffalo Bills. An embarrassing 27-10 loss against Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals have officially sat the Bills out for yet another playoff season.
Fans and critics started the season with such high hopes for the Bills. Josh Allen looked better than ever, and the addition of Von Miller on defense convinced us that - finally - this would be the season that the Bills get back to the Super Bowl. And this time, they would win it.
But, yet again, it wasn’t meant to be.
Bills fans have suffered through so many heartbreaking moments over the years. The drop. The Music City Miracle. Wide right.
But arguably, one thing still stings for Bills Mafia more than anything else in recent memory - and it happened exactly one year ago today.
In a cruel twist of irony, almost exactly a year before their loss to the Bengals, the Bills suffered another humiliating playoff defeat that, once again, dashed their Super Bowl dreams.
For some reason, “thirteen seconds” hurts more than most of the other setbacks throughout the years. Maybe it’s because the memory is still so fresh in the minds of Bills Mafia, but it’s hard to believe that it’s been an entire year since the Chiefs ripped away our chance at finally getting a Vince Lombardi trophy.
Bills fans still haven’t forgiven Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, and it isn’t very likely they will anytime in the near future.
It still feels too soon.
