15 Buffalo Houses That Look Straight Out of a Storybook
Buffalo, New York, is full of beautiful homes and architecture. It's one of America's boom cities for the late 1800s and early 1900s, so the charm and detail put into so many of its buildings and homes are second to none. That makes the city a hot spot for photographs and, lately, filmmakers.
While it's easy to find the big, lavish homes on Millionaire's Row and houses built and inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, it's the simple houses people own and create into beautiful spaces that truly make the city unique. Virtually every neighborhood, regardless of what side of the city you're on, has a few homes that really stand out.
These 15 simple homes are all unique, charming, or have a feature that is worth showing off. Maybe it'll make you want to move downtown! Or, maybe it'll help you give some unique charm to your home. Regardless, here are 15 Buffalo Houses That Are So Cute It'll Make You Want to Move Downtown:
15 Buffalo Houses That Are So Cute It'll Make You Want to Move Downtown
What stands out to me are the bright colors that so many Buffalo homes have. I feel like many homes today are typical, predictable, and quite frankly boring. How many whites and beiges can we have? Why not add at least pops of color to your home rather than blend in? Some of these neighborhoods people live in that are out in the suburbs, I honestly wonder how they know where their house is when driving through their neighborhoods! That's not to say you don't have a nice home. But why not add some character?
A side bar: The gray room trend of Gen X and millennials, in my opinion, is so unbelievably boring and dull. Yes, it matches with everything, but it also provides to the character. It screams that you have a "Live, Laugh, Love" sign in your home. Which, to each their own, but I prefer more personality than a Michael's stock craft you bought on clearance.
If this offends you, my apologies. My point of view is not the correct one, just an opinion you may not agree with.
