2 Men Drown In Alden Pond

A real tragedy in Alden on Thursday when two people were killed after drowning.

According to Metro Source News:

 State Police say 62-year-old Paul Nowak and 71-year-old Russell Bolognese were fishing in a rowboat when the tragedy happened on Billo Road in Alden yesterday.

Investigators say even though witnesses quickly pulled them from the water, they couldn't be saved.  Neither man was wearing a life jacket.
