Dick Clark Productions and Fox are developing a new country music awards show, which is actually replacing a show that’s been on for several years.

The "American Country Countdown Awards" will debut in December, replacing the “American Country Awards”.

It’ll be a two-hour show, live from Nashville, featuring live performances and honors for the biggest country songs of the year. It’s a spinoff of the weekly "American Country Countdown with Kix Brooks" radio show. Kix Brooks will also be involved in the production of the show.

The first "American Country Countdown Awards" will air on Fox on December 15.
