
Are Gas Prices Going To Skyrocket In Western New York?
There are some who are concerned that prices for gasoline may start to rise and will impact the price at the pump here in the Buffalo, New York area.
The snow is flying and you might be filling up the tank more often. Most of us who have lived here our entire life have heard our parents time after time telling us to keep the gas tank above half full! You always want to be prepared for the chance that you might get stranded or need to be in the car for an extended period of time.
But as we start the week, there are mixed reports about what the future of gas prices might be here in Western New York.

According to reports, a new initiative from New York State Governor, Kathy Hochul, might force prices to start to climb.
Currently, the price of gas is $3.11 per gallon in Erie County. I did see over $4 per gallon for premium.
Who uses premium? Those who have a vehicle that calls for a higher octane. If you are not sure what your car or truck runs best on, a quick search online or a glance at the owner's manual is a good place to start.
Niagara County drivers are paying $3.08 per gallon as we reach the halfway point of January.
We may get a better idea if what lies ahead for The Empire State as a whole and Western New York this week at the Governor will deliver the State of the State Address.
