Fans MAD About Key Bank Center Taking this Out

There is a really, really big change inside of the Key Bank Center and fans are not thrilled about the memories that are leaving with it. But it is a fresh, new start.

The inside of the KeyBank Center looks really awesome. They put a lot of time, effort and money in there and this is Buffalo--so, we just don't like change. (They put up a brand new stadium and we found a zillion ways to complain about it.)

The old Aud Club which was the bar that was in the 100s that everyone hung out by is not called the Mich Ultra Lounge and fans aren't having it.

Remember, the people operating both clubs daily are either not directly tied to Buffalo sports history or much too young to care as their reality started in 2000’s or later. It’s like hearing about the glory days of the AFL from your grandpa. Doesn’t matter much to most. But $ does. Hopefully the incredible scoring leaders / division leaders peg board case is still there somewhere.

The Buffalo Sabres are getting ready for their home opener at the KeyBank Center coming up on October 3rd when the host Chicago.

There was as pretty big, fun announcement for fans from the Buffalo Sabres this week!

• The Buffalo Sabres told fans that they will be selling the very popular beer sabre at every single home game this year!
• Also, there will be 10 throwback jersey games where the Sabres where the red and black goathead jerseys.
• There will also be games this year that showcase the Sabres 'Hometown Remix' jerseys--something all teams are doing for the 2026-2027 season.
