Buffalo Bills Could Have a Surprise Starter on Defense

The Buffalo Bills are through with day three of training camp at St. John Fisher University.

The good news is that there have been no injuries yet, at least not major injuries, which has been a storyline throughout the league; with players like Jalen Ramsey, Garrett Wilson and Joe Burrow going down with varying levels of injury on Thursday and Wednesday.

The Bills waived cornerback Cam Dantzler on Friday, signing cornerback Kyron Brown to replace his roster spot.

Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs have been two players all fans and media members have their eyes on, for obvious reasons, but the defense is another aspect that people want to get a good look at.

Kaiir Elam is battling for the second cornerback spot, while there's some intrigue at edge rusher after Von Miller and Greg Rousseau.

But who will play linebacker, next to Matt Milano?

Tremaine Edmunds is gone, signing with the Chicago Bears in free agency. The Bills have an array of linebackers who could be the starter when week 1 comes around.

Tyrel Dodson and rookie Dorian Williams have been talked about, along with Terrel Bernard, who is entering his second season after being drafted in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

However, a Bills' seventh round pick in 2022 might steal the job at MLB.

Baylon Spector was seen with the starting defense on Friday.

The 7th rounder out of Clemson made the team last season and earned some playing time on special teams. He's a darkhorse to play on defense in 2023 by the looks of it. The Bills have been trying multiple guys out at starting MLB at camp so far.
