Below Average Temps Expected This Week in Western New York
It looks like Mother Nature is can't wait for football season. As the Buffalo Bills head to training camp this week, they will have autumn-like weather.
The National Weather Service in Buffalo is calling below-average temperatures across Western New York starting later this week and heading well into next week.
As we get ready to wrap up July and head into the dog days of summer, Mother Nature will be giving up a bit of a break when it comes to the temperatures.
Starting this Friday we will only see the high temperatures in the low 70's and according to the forecasts, we won't get above 76 degrees for a high until Friday, August 6th when the expected high is 79.
Here is a look at the cooling trend.
Friday, July 30th - High 72
Saturday, July 31st - High 74
Sunday, August 1st - High 75
Monday, August 2nd - High 73
Tuesday, August 3rd - High 74
Wednesday, August 4th - High 76
Thursday, August 5th - High 75
Friday, August 6th - High 79
The average temperature for Buffalo during the first week of August is usually around 80 degrees. So we will see a nice cool start to August across the 716.
We will also get a break from the rain during that time frame as well. It looks like it is only going to rain on Sunday, August 1st. That is a much-needed break since July so far this year has been the 4th wettest July in history here in Buffalo.
So if you have been putting off doing that bonfire, or hike along with one of the many trails here in Western New York, this weekend will be perfect for it. Of course, the weather will also be perfect for sitting on one of the many patio bars in the 716 and enjoying a nice night out with family and friends too!
