These Fries Were Just Awarded the Best in Buffalo

Buffalo's bar food is unmatched. When you imagine Buffalo food, you think of mostly bar food.

Wings, beef on weck, pizza logs, French onion soup, etc. Yes, those things can also be found at sit-down restaurants, but bar food is what makes up the backbone of Buffalo cuisine. Some of the best places for food don't look like much on the outside, but then you have the food and you're a regular for life.

One of those places that serves up incredible bar food is The Nine-Eleven Tavern.

Nine-Eleven Tavern is located on Bloomfield Avenue in South Buffalo. They get their name because the address is 9-11 Bloomfield Ave.

They're only open for five days out of the week and only serve food for a few hours, starting at 4:30 pm. They do have what many Buffalonians regard as one of the 4-5 best wings in all of Western New York. They might serve up the best medium wing in the city.

However, they're also known for their signature fries, which just won the best fries award from Buffalo Spree.

Buffalo Eats reports that The Nine-Eleven Tavern was awarded the best fries in Buffalo from Buffalo Spree magazine.

Nine-Eleven Tavern fries are thicker and larger than most other bar/restaurant fries. They have a signature smokiness about them and they give you a ton of them with one order. Many customers use ketchup and vinegar for the fries.

There are many other contenders for the best fries in Buffalo but Nine-Eleven Tavern is a worthy winner for sure.
