The Buffalo Bills are heading into their bye week atop the AFC standings.

The Bills are 5-1 after their 24-20 win over the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, which was the definition of a statement win over the now 4-2 Chiefs.

The Bills are firing on all cylinders right now and if it wasn't for a few unforced errors on their part (turnovers), Buffalo would be the unquestioned number one offense and defense in the NFL.

The Bills are number one in both offensive defensive DVOA, according to Aaron Schatz of Football Outsiders. That's the first time a team has been number one in both since the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after week 6 in 2003.

The Bills ran the ball for over 100 yards on Sunday in Arrowhead, with running back Devin Singletary leading the way with 85 yards on 17 carries, along with four catches and 22 yards.

Singletary's led the Bills backfield in touches this season and has looked very good for the offense. He's been excellent in vision, power and blitz pickups.

But will the Bills trade for another running back? It's the rumor that's been buzzing for at least a week.

According to Sports Betting Dot org, the Bills are the favorite to trade for Carolina Panthers running back, Christian McCaffrey. The odds are 4 to 1.

What's also interesting is that the Miami Dolphins are the second favorite at 5 to 1.

On Sunday, Peter Schrager said that the Panthers would listen to a trade involving McCaffrey as well as their defensive stars...but the price would be high and include multiple first round picks.

Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reported the Panthers would listen to calls on McCaffrey, for the right deal. Glazer said the market for McCaffrey will likely heat up in the next two weeks.

On Monday, the Panthers traded wide receiver Robbie Anderson to the Arizona Cardinals for a 6th and 7th round draft pick. One in 2024 and the other in 2025.

This comes a day after Anderson got into an argument on the Carolina sideline and was told to leave the field by interim head coach Steve Wilks.

The Bills, or any other team, should not give up one first round pick for McCaffrey, let alone multiple first round picks.

He's back to his old self this season, but considering the history of injuries, his age (26 going on 27) and the fact it's a running back, no team should be giving up a first round draft pick.

It's interesting to see what happens and if Carolina gets a substantial return.
