It almost sounds too good to be true for the NFL playoffs. Honestly, you couldn't have scripted it any better.

The Buffalo Bills won the AFC East on Sunday, during the final regular season game day of the NFL season. The Bills beat the Jets 27-10 at Highmark Stadium, while the New England Patriots lost 33-24 to the Miami Dolphins, sealing the AFC East crown for the Bills who needed a win or a Patriots loss.

Now, both teams get to face each other for a third time this season.

The Bills will officially host the Patriots at Highmark Stadium this Saturday at 8:15 pm. The game will be on CBS.

The Bills face the Patriots, because the Las Vegas Raiders beat the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday Night Football, so the Raiders will play at the Cincinnati Bengals in the 4-5 seed matchup, while the Bills host the Patriots in the 3-6 matchup.

The 2-7 matchup will feature the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Bills and Patriots split their two meetings this season, with the road team winning both. The game in Orchard Park was played on Monday Night Football in a windstorm, featuring 45 mph wind gusts. Patriots rookie quarterback Mac Jones only threw three passes in a 14-10 Patriots win.

The weather could play a factor again between these two teams. It's still early (over five days out), but The Weather Channel is forecasting frigid temps and snow for this Saturday in Western New York.

1-3 inches of snow forecasted for Saturday in the day and another 1-3 inches at night in Orchard Park...

It could be an all-time game in Orchard Park. New England. Night game. Playoffs. National audience. Snow. Wow.
