The head coach is in place now. After hiring Joe Brady to take the reins of the team, it's now time to fill in some of the empty spots that have been left vacant. Today, they've hired a coach to replace their former offensive line coach.

The Bills have plenty of coaching vacancies

A lot of people who have been screaming for a change at One Bills Drive were upset that the Bills hired from within, but they're about to get the change they had hoped for. Joe Brady is one of the few coaches who will be retained by the Bills for the next season. They're losing their special teams coordinator to Miami, their defensive coordinator to Green Bay, and even though Brady will maintain play-calling duties, they will still need an offensive coordinator following his promotion.

The first to announce their departure, though, was offensive line coach Aaron Kromer. Many would argue that he was a huge reason for the Bills' success in the rushing game this season.

The Bills are hiring former Pittsburgh Steelers' line coach Pat Meyer

Today, the Bills took their first step to start filling in those vacancies by hiring respected offensive line coach Pat Meyer from Pittsburgh. Last season, the Steelers had a top-10 offensive line under Meyer. They were ranked 2nd in pass protection and only allowed 17 sacks all season. Compare that the the Bills' 41 allowed sacks on Allen in 2025.

Brandon Beane has som work to do with the line to maintain consistency though as two of the starters from last season (McGovern, Edwards) are unrestricted free agents, and two (VanDemark, Anderson) are restricted free agents.
