There are certain reasons to alter business hours here in Buffalo. One is obvious -- holidays. From Christmas to the 4th of July, major holidays will usually feature closing and different hours of operation.

The snow will also alter a business' hours. Yeah, we're used to it, but we also can get lake effect snowstorms that make driving nearly impossible.

However, there's one other major reason a business might close in Western New York. That is due to a gigantic Buffalo Bills game.

Ted's Hot Dogs is doing just that.

Ted's announced today on social media that not just one, but ALL of their locations will close today at 4 pm, so employees can get home in time to watch the AFC Divisional Round game between the Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs in Arrowhead Stadium.

This is so awesome. Dash's Markets will also be doing the same thing for their employees.

If the Bills are able to beat the Chiefs (a tall task for sure), they will host the AFC Championship Game at Highmark Stadium next Sunday at 3 pm. If they lose, then the season is over and it's on to the 2022 campaign.

This is the matchup that everyone in the NFL has been hoping for and even though it's coming a round earlier than last year's AFC Championship game, it's sure to be a high-scoring slugfest between two elite teams with the two best quarterbacks in the NFL.
