The Buffalo Bills are the current number one seed in the AFC at 5-1 and will host the NFL North's Green Bay Packers this Sunday at Highmark Stadium; the game marks the third prime time game already for the Bills this season.

There's been quite a few reports, rumors and flat-out speculation out there that the Bills would be interested in adding a player at the trade deadline, which will be Tuesday, November 1st at 4 pm.

The Bills were reportedly in on Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey, which ultimately did not happen. He was traded to the San Francisco 49ers for a 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th round draft pick.

John Wawrow of the AP reported the Bills offered a 2nd rounder for McCaffrey but that was nowhere near what McCaffrey ultimately went for on the open market.

Still, the Bills could decide to add a piece at the deadline. It just depends how willing general manager Brandon Beane is to do that and what price the Bills are willing to pay in salary and assets to trade for that player; which also goes for how much the Bills feel they need depth or help at that position.

Jordan Schultz of The Score reported today that two offensive lineman are getting interested and are available.

Broncos guard Dalton Risner and Eagles tackle Andre Dillard.

Both would be in line to potentially start for another team or maybe as great insurance for a playoff run. The Bills could look yo add depth and make sure they don't run short on quality lineman in the postseason. I doubt it happens but something to watch.

Wide receiver and running back seem to be the two positions that most Bills fans can agree on the Bills adding, if they add anyone.

As far as running backs, Los Angeles Rams' Cam Akers is widely known to be on the market and head coach Sean McVay said to the media recently that they are looking to trade Akers and help him get a fresh start.

Akers isn't exactly someone I would want the Bills to add but for a depth running back behind Devin Singletary, that intrigues me.

Another running back who has been rumored to maybe get traded is Washington Commanders Antonio Gibson.

Gibson was the number one back last season but he's been unseated by rookie Brian Robinson Jr. and they also have J.D. McKissic as well, so Gibson is a name to watch...although, after what transpired between the Bills and McKissic in free agency (a deal agreed upon, then the player changing his mind), maybe that isn't a team Beane is eager to do a deal with.

As far as wide receivers go, Pittsburgh Steelers' Chase Claypool isn't the bright young star he was two seasons ago and with the emergence of Diontae Johnson as the number one wide receiver there, plus George Pickens in the fold, perhaps the struggling Steelers can get draft capital for Claypool -- assuming they wouldn't want to re-sign him long term.

The Packers have been linked to Claypool this month, but with the Bills maybe needing one more depth piece at WR, he's at least a possibility.

Two more.

The Carolina Panthers have reportedly no interested in trading wide receiver DJ Moore, according to Adam Schefter.

However, Moore's name has continually been involved in trade speculation and of course teams have probably called regarding him.

Moore's base salary skyrockets in 2023 (just under $20 million), so that's a big part of why a trade wouldn't happen, plus Moore is 26 and a stud. It's unclear if he would want out of Carolina though or stick things through.

Lastly, this isn't a trade, but Odell Beckham Jr. is still a free agent and the clear player linked to the Bills; mostly due to the flattering words of former teammate Von Miller.

OBJ is still recovering from his ACL surgery from February, but should be back in time before the end of the year. It just depends how interested the Bills are and if they come close enough in money. Also, would it be a long-term contract or a one-year deal?

If the Bills don't make any moves, they will likely be fine. However, great teams never stand pat and are satisfied with the roster. Adding another wide receiver would be my move if I'm Beane, but it would obviously have to be for the right price, plus be a WR who can play outside.

Because if Stefon Diggs or Gabe Davis go down with a long-term injury, they have nothing but Jake Kumerow and Isaiah Hodgins to fill in...
