One of my favorite movies, in any genre, is Ghostbusters. The 1984 blockbuster starred Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Sigourney Weaver and Rick Moranis and sparked a sequel, animated show, reboot and tons of merchandise.

The ghost-catching group of scientists were a favorite of many movie-lovers, but did you know that Buffalo has its very own the Ghostbusters.

That's right. The Buffalo Ghostbusters have been around since 2011, according to WKBW, and it was started by a group of locals who love the movies and wanted to dress up and stylize (proton packs, etc.) like the characters in the films.

But the Buffalo Ghostbusters are more than just dressing up, they have been doing it for a great cause the last few years.

The group has helped raise money for toys, giving the toys to Toys for Tots.

The Buffalo Ghostbusters appeared at the annual Trunk-or-Treat To-Go at the Buffalo Central Terminal on Wednesday, as well.

The fact they go all out with the accessories is awesome. Check out these proton packs and even a vehicle!

The Buffalo Ghostbusters are available for charity events and you can find out more at their Facebook page.

They are "keeping WNY ghost-free for charity."
