All of New York state has been robbed of the sunshine that was forecasted through Wednesday. Yes, it was supposed to be all sunshine on Tuesday and Wednesday, but you can barely notice with all smoke from the Canadian wildfires.

The air quality has been the talk of everyone over the last 48 hours. There's an Air Quality Advisory for everyone in the state, while some major cities like New York City, Syracuse and Rochester have even worse air quality.

For the City of Buffalo, it's been bad but not on the same level as those other cities. Wind direction has a lot to do with it, and why New York and other states are getting the brunt of this smoke, vs. the north Atlantic Ocean.

However, Thursday looks to be even worse for Buffalo and Western New York.

According to the interactive wildfire smoke map on the Canadian government website, the thickest plum of smoke will be directly over Buffalo and Western New York between 8 am on Thursday morning, into the afternoon.

The good news is that Friday looks better and hopefully by Saturday, we don't have to deal with this anymore.

Try not to be outside for the 24-30 hours if you have allergies, respiratory problems or are sensitive to the air we are currently experiencing.

There have already been numerous outdoor activities that have been cancelled around Western New York. That likely happens again tomorrow.

It's not very fun to be outdoors right now, which is a shame with what the forecast was for Wednesday.
