Not too long ago it was pretty easy to get a meal for around $5. Whether it was from a fast food place or your local diner, finding something reasonably priced was pretty easy. Then 2022 happened. Inflation has made EVERYTHING much more expensive, especially food and dining out. These days it's common to spend over $15 a person when you go to a place, including for breakfast.

This isn't hate put toward restaurants either. They have to keep up with things to stay open. It's tough on everyone though.

One thing that's always been an easy and fast go-to for breakfast in Western New York is 2 eggs, home fries, and toast. It's simple, to the point, fills you up, and is inexpensive. Or, was inexpensive. It's hard to find that combo for under $5 or $6 now. You probably remember when you could get it for $3!

I did some further digging around the internet and discovered that yes, in fact, there are still really good deals on the 2 eggs, home fries, and toast combo.

I also learned that a lot of restaurants and diners in our area desperately need websites, but that's a different discussion for another time.
