The only good thing about snow is when you're able to have some fun in it.  If you love to ski or snowboard, where can you go in New York to do it for the least amount?

Skiing is such a peaceful sport.  It's a perfect form of exercise as you carefully glide down the hill and take in all the crisp air.  Whether it's on a bright cool morning, or a dark late night under the lights, there's nothing like it.  If you've never tried it, you should.  It takes a little bit to get used to it at first, but once you learn, it's like riding a bike.  You'll never forget it.

The best way to enjoy it (if you can afford it) is with a season pass.  That way you can skip the ticket line and go right from your car to the lifts and get the most out of your day.  But they aren't cheap.  Most are close to $1000 per season or more.  So where do you go to get the best deal?

There are a ton of ski resorts and mountains in New York State.  While some incredible resorts exist in New Hampshire and Vermont, you don't necessarily have to go that far. You'll find them just outside New York City and all the way over near the Pennsylvania border.

We did the work for you to find the cheapest season passes in New York and there are a ridiculous amount of choices.  Prices vary mostly with age, but they can also change depending on the time of day you want to ski too.  For this list, we searched for adult passes that will allow you access to the slopes without any blackout dates.
