My math is bad, but I have more than double the donuts Dave has!! LOL.

I don't know if you've heard but we're in the middle of a donut duel, if you will. Our friends at Market in the Square turned their famous Polish Cheesecake into a specialty donut you can ONLY get for 106 days and only at our two local locations. They'll donate a dollar for each Polish Cheesecake Donut sold during that time to the ECMC Foundation to support their new trauma center campaign.

Dave and I are getting into the action, too, with a bit of a challenge. I'm representing the West Seneca location in the Southgate Plaza (940 Union Road), while Dave has the North Tonawanda location in the Budwey’s Plaza (535 Division St.) Whoever's store has the most Polish Cheesecake Donut sales wins, and whoever loses gets a Polish Cheesecake Donut to the face. We're going to make sure everyone sees it, too. (Of course!)

Here's where the scoreboard stands now:

Clay – 5,500 donuts sold
Dave – 2,410 donuts sold

It seems to me, at this point, Dave is tanking? He may actually like the thought of a donut smashed in his face! We’re not done yet though, so keep buying those donuts, Southtowners. Soon, we might see something like this:

The ECMC Foundation will use the money to help rebuild its 1970s-era emergency department into a top-line trauma center and ER. It will be Western New York's only Level 1 Trauma Center and support a growing need — the old ER was designed to serve 45,000 patients but they are seeing as many as 70,000. In other words, not only are we winning the donut contest, but we're raising money that will help save lives.

Keep up the good work, one tasty donut at a time!
