ECMC Gives First COVID-19 Vaccination to Frontline Workers
ECMC has become the latest local hospital to begin giving frontline workers the new COVID-19 vaccination from Pfizer.

The COVID-19 vaccination from the biotech company was given emergency approval by the FDA last week and was shipped across New York State this week.
This vaccination needs to be taken in two doses, about three weeks apart.
According to its press release, ECMC is giving the vaccinations in accordance with NYSDOH and CDC guidelines.
Stacey Forgensi a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at ECMC was the first person to receive the vaccination.
The ECMC Foundation is still collecting donations to help the frontline workers this year and local philanthropist Russell Salvatore announced that he will match all donations made during the holiday season.
