The Manager of Elmos Bar in Getzville Has Passed Away

When you think of great chicken wings in Western New York, you immediately think of places  like Bar-Bill Tavern, Nine-Eleven Tavern and Elmos.

Elmos is located in the Getzville Plaza in Getzville, just off Millersport Highway, and is known for some of the best wings in the Buffalo region.

Unfortunately, the bar and restaurant suffered a huge loss.

According to Elmos' updates account on Twitter, their beloved manager Adam Blake has passed away after a health battle.

His family has a Go Fund Me page, as friends and patrons can make donations.

Adam had what was described as a medical emergency a short while back, as Elmos on Twitter kept everyone updated on the situation.

His Go Fund Me page raised over $50,000 and it's amazing the support that Buffalo and Western New York has given his family and the Elmos staff and friends who knew him.

People like Adam are why we adore our local businesses so much. The managers and staff of these local bars and restaurants are what sets them apart. They make the establishments feel like a second home for patrons.
