According to a recent post from New York State Police on Facebook, a trooper pulled someone over on I-81 and noticed a fake inspection sticker on the vehicle’s windshield.

The New York State Police essentially had a simple message for the driver: Nice try, but they do check for these things.

It wasn’t long ago that some drivers were also attempting to use fake license plates. That trend went viral for a while, and New York State troopers and local law enforcement were keeping an eye out for them.
