If cabin fever is setting in for this winter break, it's time to get out and do something!  There are still a few more days for you to take advantage of #FearlessFebruary!

It's Blue Cross Blue Shield's way of making Western New York active.  They call it #FearlessFebruary and it's a series of events that are offered free of cost to families to enjoy winter break.

The event for today scheduled at Canalside has been moved inside but there's another one tomorrow.  Thursday, February 22, families can join Sabretooth at the Healthy Zone Rink in East Aurora from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.  Admission to both events is free and skate rentals will be available for purchase. Skaters can warm up with a hot chocolate or coffee, compliments of BlueCross BlueShield.

If you are more of a pond skater, the historic basin at MLK Jr. Park  will be open all week long for free, pond-style ice-skating.  Even better...the skates will be available to borrow for free!

Also according to bcbs.com, if you're a parent that would like to exercise with your child, you can join them at Niagara Community Center on Saturday, February 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Activities include sports, family-friendly games, two LaMovement dance fitness classes and more.

The events are free, but they ask that you register at bcbswny.com/play.

Get out and enjoy being healthy for this winter break!
