Halloween is right around the corner and if you are having a party, you are probably putting together a playlist for the night.  The problem is that most of those playlists get taken over by "Monster Mash",  "Thriller" and the theme to "Ghostbusters".  But what about Halloween music for the country fans??

That's why I am here!  Here is a list of 5 spooky songs that you can play at your party to rile up the rednecks:

1.  (It's A) Monster's Holiday -- Buck Owens

It's kind of like the Monster Mash of the country world.  An oldie but a goodie

2.  Midnight In Montgomery -- Alan Jackson

This one's a little bit slower than most of the songs on this list but the lyrics are creepy enough that it made the cut!

3.  The Legend Of Wooly Swamp -- The Charlie Daniels Band

It was a toss up between this one and "The Devil Went Down To Georgia" and to be honest, the only reason that this one is on my list instead is that "The Devil Went Down To Georgia" is on everyone's list already.

4.  The Ride -- David Allan Coe

A creepy song about a guy that is hitch hiking on his way to Nashville.  Before the end of the ride however, he finds out that the stranger that picked him up is the ghost of a famous guy named "Hank".  I don't want to give away who he his though.  Wink wink.

5.  Ghost Riders In The Sky -- Johnny Cash

He's the man in black.  He's made for this holiday.  Plus, if you want to have a party, you have to play some Johnny.
