Frightworld Is Holding Auditions For Haunt Actors For The 2026 Season

Are you one of those people that loves to wait silently around a corner just to yell "Boo!" when someone comes around just for the thrill of it? They might be able to use you this fall at one of Western New York's scariest haunted houses.

Every year, Frightworld puts on an incredible display to give people the pre-Halloween scare that they're looking for. But that takes a lot of people to pull off. Now, they're looking to add more "scarers" to their team.

What do you need to do to become a "Scare Actor?"

There's a good chance you've never done something like this before, but right now, you're thinking you might want to give it a chance. What are the qualifications?

There really aren't many. Are you at least 18 years old? Do you love to scare and entertain people? Are you a huge fan of Halloween? Do you want to earn some extra money? Are you available weeknights from 6 pm-10 pm and weekends until 1 am?

This job might be perfect for you.

When are the auditions?

Auditions are coming up soon. You'll need to attend one of the following audition dates to be considered for the position.

• Friday, August 28th: 6pm-10pm
• Saturday, August 29th: 12pm-4pm & 6pm-9pm
• Sunday, August 30th: 12pm-5pm

They add that costumes aren't required, but they're welcomed. So if you have something you think will add to your audition, it looks like you can wear it!

Do they have any other jobs?

Maybe you're not into being the center of attention, but you think it would still be cool to get a job there.  They've got others available. They'll also be hiring for:

  Queue Line Entertainers
  Ticket Takers
  Event Staff
  Security (armed & unarmed)
  Concessions & Merch
