There is a major warming trend that is headed to New York State in the next few days as we close in on Christmas!

The weather has been very interesting in New York State this fall. There are a handful of days left until winter officially gets here but we have felt winter a few times already.

In fact, a major lake effect snow event slammed Western New York with as much as three feet of heavy lake snow before the weekend arrived.

But in true New York State fashion, the weather is going to change, again.

The long range forecast for the Western New York area indicates that just days after the next lake effect snow storm, we will get temperatures back in the 50 degree range! That will melt the snow and cause more water related issues for those in the lower lying areas where the snow piles up.

Portions of New York will get very cold before the warm air gets here next week with highs in the 50's by Tueasday!
