The new exhibit at The Buffalo History Museum is absolutely amazing! Being the son of a history teacher, specifically American history, I have always been fascinated with the past and the many things that have led up to where we are today in this great nation.

But this is an up close look with a different twist on the history of the United States of America. When you check out this exhibit, you’ll be up close to different styles, ideas, and untold stories from the past that relate to fashion and art.

That's why the exhibit is called GLAMerica250: History Never Goes Out of Style. Curated by museum Executive Director Melissa N. Brown, this new exhibit presents four themes (Grounded, Locating, Aspiring, and Memory) to present our shared history and culture.

Parents might find it's a great way to encourage children to think more deeply about what they have learned in school and picture how life differed in the past. Meanwhile, adults might reflect on how American ideals have evolved over the past 250 years and how our reality didn't always match our aspirations.
