You see some pretty interesting things in Western New York. Just last summer we had the Navy’s Blue Angels flying high above the City of Buffalo, for a few days as they prepared for the Buffalo Air Show.

When I was a kid, it was always cool to see something flying overhead and my friends and I taking bets of what it would be when we heard the engines roar.

We often don’t see blimps flying overhead, let alone the most famous blimp out there.

The Tonawanda Fire Department tweeted out a photo (and video) on Wednesday afternoon that showed the Goodyear blimp flying above in Western New York.

Some in the thread said they saw it as well, heading northward. There was no word on why the Goodyear blimp was over Western New York.

Goodyear blimps are famous for their signature blue and yellow look and showing up at the most famous sporting events, most popular-viewed Super Bowl.

I’ve never actually seen a Goodyear blimp in person before, so wondering if we see it again in the near future.

Did anyone else see it today?
