St. Patrick's Day weekend and there's plenty to do in Western New York.  Check out some of these events:


WNY EquiFest is a free, family-friendly equine exposition featuring some of the area’s top horse clinicians and trainers.  Sponsored by the Western Chapter New York State Horse Council, this will be the event’s seventh successful consecutive year, growing bigger and more exciting.  It's Saturday and Sunday, March 18th and 19th at Showplex Arena, Hamburg Fairgrounds, 5600 McKinley Parkway in Hamburg.  Doors open at 9:30 am.  Opening ceremony at 10:00 am.  Sponsored by the Western New York Chapter of the New York State Horse Council.


 

The Akron Parents Association Nursery School invite you to their Vendor and Craft Fair on Saturday, March 18th from 9 am to 2:00 pm.  A day of one stop shopping with a variety of vendors and crafters selling their unique items.   It includes a basket raffle.  Light refreshments available, plus music throughout the event.  A door prize ticket given with each paid entry.  It’s at Akron First United Methodist Church, 7 Church Street in Akron.


Curriers Grange invites you to their Chinese Auction and Theme Basket Raffle this Saturday, March 18th from 1 to 4 pm.  Among the items, Window 10 computer, Door prize raffle, food and beverages available.  Curriers Grange is at 983 Chaffee Road in Arcade. 

 


 

St. Casimir’s Church invites you to their St. Patrick’s Day Dinner and Dance,  Saturday, March 18th.  Starting at 3:30 until sold out, enjoy a Deli Corn Beef Sandwich Dinner.  $9.00 Pre-sale or $10 at the door.  Dinner includes cole slaw, pickle, chips, dessert and beverage.  Can't make dinner?  Just come for the dance starting at 7pm.  Music by Wide Right, one of the top Pop/Rock bands in Buffalo.  $5.00 for the dance with a cash bar including beer, wine & pop.  It’s a 21 and over event.


Adams Fire Company invites you to their Farmers breakfast this Sunday, March 19th from 9 am to 2 pm , including scrambled eggs, home fries, French toast, pancakes, sausage, ham, bacon, assorted pastries, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, apple, cranberry and orange juice.  $12 Adults, $7 Kids (4-12), under 3 years eat free. The Folsom Trailblazers are having their annual "All You Can Eat" Pancake Breakfast this Sunday, March 19th in the Strykersville Fire Hall, Minkle Road In Strykersville from 7:30 am to noon.  $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for kids 6 to 12.  Ages 5 and under are free. Breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, ham, scrambled eggs, home fries, applesauce, juice, coffee, milk, baked goods, and all served with local maple syrup. 


 

The Collins Center Fire Company invites you to their Spring Chicken Barbeque on Sunday March 19th.  They begin serving at 11:30 am until they’re sold out. Dinners include ½ BBQ Chicken, buttered salt potatoes, macaroni salad, cole slaw, roll and butter and your choice of dessert.  Everything is made fresh with firefighters barbequing the chicken and the Ladies’ Auxillary preparing the salads.  Collins Center Fire Company is on Main St., in Collins Center.


 

The 2017 Buffalo St. Patrick's Day Parade is this Sunday on Delaware Avenue.  The parade starts at 2:00 at Niagara Square and runs north on Delaware ending at North Street.  The 77th annual Buffalo St. Patrick's Day Parade is one of the oldest parades in the country.
