Hometown Hero of Week – Technical Sergeant Aleksander A. Wojciechowicz
Technical Sergeant Aleksander A. Wojciechowicz is the Unit Training Manager of the 914th Security Forces Squadron, Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, New York. He serves as the key enlisted advisor to the 914th Security Forces Squadron Commander on matters concerning unit and individual Education as well as training progress of the enlisted airmen assigned to the squadron. His duties include developing objectives to meet Air Force academic, vocational, and technical standards. Additionally, he coordinates user feedback with career field managers and Education and Training providers, and monitors corrective actions.
Technical Sergeant Wojciechowicz graduated from Lancaster High School, Lancaster, NY in June 2006. After high school he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Shortly after an overseas tour he was selected to become a Combat Arms Instructor for the 914th Security Forces Squadron. For nearly six years he served as a Lead Instructor before being selected as the Unit Training Manager in 2015. He has participated and or deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Inherent Resolve. His assignments have included Texas, Iraq and Kuwait. Additionally, is employed full time as a civilian Police Officer for the Department of Defense in Niagara Falls, NY. Furthermore, he serves as the 4th Assistant Fire Chief for the Depew Fire Department in the Village of Depew.
