Sports Celebrity Goes to Bar-Bill Tavern
The number one thing that puts the City of Buffalo in the mainstream is the Buffalo Bills.
The Bills are the branch to the mainstream for Buffalo. They give the city and identity. Outside of wings and snow, the Bills are the thing that comes to mind when people around the country hear the word Buffalo.
Lately, the Bills have been far more elevated in public consciousness. They have made the playoffs for four straight years and five of the last six. That includes three straight AFC East division titles.
That means that they’re a team many national media members want to visit (Josh Allen’s presence certainly helps).
Kay Adams of FanDuel and the Pardon My Take podcast were both in Rochester for Bills training camp last week. This past weekend, another sports celebrity made an appearance at Bills camp and he also visited a famous Buffalo bar.
NFL Network senior insider Ian Rapoport was at Bills training camp this past weekend, and he took the time to try out the wings and beef on weck at Bar-Bill!
Rapoport claimed the wings the best in America, and many Buffalonians would not argue with that assessment.
The Bills will be playing the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday afternoon at Highmark Stadium, which will be the first preseason game. It’s also the only home preseason game and the last game in Orchard Park until September 17th.
The Bills activated defensive tackle Jordan Phillips off PUP this week, but it’s uncertain if he will play on Saturday.
