Buffalo Bills Release a Huge Fan Favorite Player
The start of NFL free agency has been fast and furious, which many of us expected it would be. Monday was when free agents could start talking to teams and then Wednesday was when teams could sign players on the dotted line.
The Buffalo Bills have stayed very busy.
General manager Brandon Beane made two big moves, signing wide receiver Deonte Harty and offensive lineman Connor McGovern. Both fill needs for the Bills.

Buffalo also shocked many by re-signing safety Jordan Poyer, who tested the free agent market but ended up coming back to the Bills; likely closing out his career in Western New York.
On Friday, the Bills made a move that may be surprising to some fans, but it really shouldn't be after the 2022 season, the cap space needed, and the changes being made already at the position.
The Bills have officially released Isaiah McKenzie.
McKenzie was signed to a new, two-year deal last March but had a disappointing 2022 campaign. He carried a cap hit of $2.5 million in 2023, so the Bills get cap relief and only a $300k dead cap hit.
The Bills' signing of Harty made this move inevitable but it's still sad to see McKenzie leave, since he was not only a popular teammate in the locker room, but also a fan favorite here in Western New York.
Beane mentioned this week, after the Harty signing, that they were still looking to add and improve to the wide receiver position. We will see if the 27th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft will be used on WR.
