There is an interesting forecast for New York State that has some worried about travel over the next couple of days.

As we get closer to the halfway point of February, winter does not seem to want to give up. The bitter cold and snow are sharing the spotlight with ice and freezing rain.

But the forecast for the next couple of days is a mixed bag and has forced at least one APP to post an alert that some may have never seen.

According to an alert from the MyRadar weather APP, there is going to be a heavy "burs" of snow for some areas of the Northeast including right here in New York State.

The issue, according to the post and alert, will be the heavy amount of snowfall in a short period of time.

January seemed to last as long as two months and now that February is here, there is no slowing down Old Man Winter.

Be ready for changing conditions on the roads. At the time we wrote this article on early Thursday, we could hear the freezing rain pelt the windows. Snow is one thing. But dealing with ice on the roads and interstate is another.
