According to a new study conducted by Petlab, based on several Google searches for adoption, buy, and other keywords, one breed of dog topped the list as most popular in New York State.

That breed would be the Golden Retriever.

The Golden Retriever might also be the most popular dog breed in the country as it was the most popular breed in 38 out of 50 states.

The second most popular dog breed in the US would be The French Bulldog. They were the most popular in nine states, including Arkansas, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.

The 3rd most popular dog breed in the US was the Bernese Mountain Dog. This breed was most popular in Montana, Utah, and Wyoming.

So why are Golden Retriever's the most popular breed of dog? According to the study, they are the best breed for families and in Hollywood.

Golden Retrievers are a prevalent breed for families due to their kind nature and ease of training. They are also trendy within the celebrity community
