A sold-out KeyBank Center was rocking last night, and it might have been the loudest it has ever been when the fans honored forward Tage Thompson for winning the Gold Medal at the Olympics with Team USA.

Ahead of the Sabres game vs the Las Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday, the Buffalo Sabres and their fans gave lots of love to Thompson and his fellow Team USA teammates. It was the first home game for the Sabres since the Olympics.
Even Buffalo Bills great Jim Kelly was on hand to get the crowd fired up.
Buffalo Sabres Race To The Playoffs
The Buffalo Sabres jumped out to a 3-goal lead and never looked back, beating the Golden Knights 3-2 last night. It was the Sabres' 4th straight win since the Olympic break, and they are currently in 2nd place in the Atlantic Division.

The Sabres are trying to end the longest playoff drought in North American Pro Sports. They haven't made the playoffs since the 2010-11 season.
