
‘Storage Wars': Brandi Passante Shares the Tragic Reason Why Darrell Sheets’ Death Hits Home
Storage Wars star Brandi Passante says her co-star Darrell Sheets' death hit home for a tragic reason. Sheets died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, and suicide has touched Passante's family on multiple occasions.
She issued an emotional social media statement on Wednesday night (April 23) with several photos of the two of them together on-set.
"I'm at a loss for words!" Passante wrote in the caption of her post. "I've known Darrell Sheets for many years. I'm just so very sorry to hear the circumstances of his passing."

In her post, Passante spoke about the impact suicide has made on her family, and encouraged anyone struggling with suicidal ideation to seek help.
"I unfortunately lost a parent and a brother to similar situations," she wrote. "I would like to say to everyone, if you are struggling, if you feel hopeless or like no one cares. I assure you they do!! You are not alone."
"Please reach out for help," Passante continued. "You are not taking your pain away, you are transferring it to someone else. The grief from suicide is endless."

Passante also included the number to the 24/7 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, 988, in her tribute.
"Never suffer in silence!" she concluded.
How Did Darrell Sheets Die?
Darrell Sheets died in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., on Wednesday (April 22). He was 67 years old.
- According to Variety, the Lake Havasu Police Department issued a statement saying that they responded to a call about a deceased person at a residence at approximately 2AM.
- That person, who was identified as Darrell Sheets, had suffered "what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head."
- He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body was turned over to the Mohave County Medical Examiner's office for further investigation.
Who Was Darrell Sheets?
Darrell Sheets was a fan-favorite character on the popular A&E reality show Storage Wars. He was a main cast member on the show from its first season in 2010 until 2023.
Storage Wars follows real-life professional buyers, including Sheets and Brandi Passante, as they bid for unpaid storage lockers in onsite auctions.
The show frequently focuses on the competition between the professional buyers, as well as the drama of bidding on a mystery locker without first knowing what items might be inside.
