Oh no! What a bummer! One of the last big Buffalo events of the summer isn’t going to happen after all this Labor Day weekend, disappointing country fans all over Western New York.

Country superstar Jimmie Allen, famous for hits like “Make Me Want To,” “Freedom Was A Highway,” and “Good Times Roll,” was supposed to perform this Sunday, September 4th for Buffalo’s Outer Harbor concert series. Unfortunately for his Buffalo-area fans, The Buffalo Waterfront posted on their Facebook page that the event has been canceled.

The Buffalo Waterfront has made the difficult decision to cancel the Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino Outer Harbor Concert Series featuring Jimmie Allen on Sunday, September 4, 2022. We are truly sorry for all fans who are disappointed by this decision. Refunds in full will be automatically issued at your point of purchase. Please allow 5-7 business days for funds to be credited to your credit card or bank account. Thank you for your understanding.”

Naturally, country fans are not pleased, blaming the cancellation on a lack of promotion for the event and moving the outdoor concerts away from Canalside.

This isn’t the first concert that The Buffalo Waterfront has had to cancel this year. Rapper Nas was set to perform there on July 23rd, but it was announced that the show was canceled just a week before.

Let's hope the Outer Harbor series can get it together next summer, or else they should move the concerts back to Canalside where everyone seemed to enjoy them.

In the meantime, hopefully, Western New York’s die-hard Jimmie Allen fans got a chance to see him this past Wednesday at the New York State Fair.
