JUST IN: Injury Update for the Buffalo Bills’ Game This Sunday
The Buffalo Bills will play at the Washington Commanders this Sunday.
The Bills are 1-1, while the Commanders are 2-0, which may surprise some fans out there. Second-year quarterback Sam Howell has been very good through two games, while the Commanders have a plethora of great, young receivers and a strong defensive front. The Bills will have their hands full.
As for the Bills, they did a good job avoiding injuries the first two weeks and in training camp. However, the Bills did have quite a few players on their injury report for week 3.
Micah Hyde, Leonard Floyd and Jordan Phillips missed practice time this week, but Phillips returned after one day missed (illness), while Hyde and Floyd were limited after missing practice on Wednesday.
Tight end Dawson Knox, however, did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday.
Head coach Sean McDermott said to WGR radio that everyone would practice in some capacity and he would not declare anyone out.
It seems as if Knox is a 50/50 to play against Washington.
The game could be played in heavy rain, as tropical storm/depression Ophelia is slated to make landfall today in the Carolinas, with an impact of the Mid-Atlantic on Saturday and even into Sunday. Travel will be difficult on Saturday but the good news is the winds shouldn't be as bad on Sunday as they will be on Saturday for the D.C. area. Hopefully, we don't have too much rain.
The field could be wet and impact both offenses, which should be under consideration if you have any fantasy implications with this game. Some Bills fans are worried that will hinder the Bills pass-heavy offense.
Kickoff will be at 1 pm on Sunday.
