Clay Found Everything a Pet Store Should Be at Just Pets in Irving

The outside of Just Pets in Irving, New York, is a little deceiving — when my family and I stepped inside, I was shocked at how big the store actually is.

They have hamsters, gerbils, bunnies, guinea pigs, birds, geckos, turtles, and snakes, plus adoptable cats from area rescues. They also have supplies for dogs, cats, and all the pets they sell, as well as store pets you can visit (including a huge tortoise!)

The thing my kids talked about the most was the birds. They would whistle back and forth to them. It’s almost like a pet store with a mini petting zoo inside.

They are one of the few remaining locally owned and operated pet stores, and it shows in the quality of the animals in their care, as well as the vast knowledge their staff shares with customers. They recently added a gift section, and they honestly have food and toys around every corner!

We just got the kids a fish tank and they were blown away by how many fish they saw at Just Pets. We have to go back and pick out a few more. If you haven't stopped in at Just Pets lately, you should go with the whole family at 393 Route 5 in Irving. They even offer gift certificates!
