Popular Italian Restaurant In Hamburg Sets Closing Date And It’s Soon
It's been something that's been in the works for awhile now, but they're finally making it official. The closing date is set.
It never feels like good news when a family restaurant closes their doors for the last time. But this one seems like the owners are ready to move on.
What Is L'Isola Doro?
L'Isola Doro is a family owned and operated restaurant that has been serving the southtowns for the past 20 years. They opened their doors in 1995 at 4690 Camp Road in Hamburg.
Their description on Yelp says that the owners Anna and Vincenzo came here from Palermo, Sicily in the 1970s and have been here ever since. They began at restaurants in New York City and Poughkeepsie before moving here to Western New York in the early 90's.
They passed their love of cooking on to their sons Gaspare and Mario, and his step-son Rosario who have carried on the tradition in the kitchen. Anna, her daughter Patricia and step daughter Patti have been running the dining room.
