My Favorite Motorcycle

I have been riding motorcycles since I was a teenager. Bikes have always fascinated me, no matter what type: motocross, trials, street, racers, cruisers, choppers, etc. I love them all. Over the years I have owned a bunch of different ones. Many were from Japan. I have owned two Suzuki's, one Yamaha and one Honda. Many years ago, I did a frame-up restoration on a 1976 Maico AW 250 racing bike from Germany. Kinda wish I had that one back.

But if you were to ask me about my number one favorite motorcycle, I would have to say it's the one that's in my garage right now: my 1998 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic. I ordered her in June of 1995 and took delivery in July of 1997. I waited over 2 years for Harley to make this bike and get it to me. She is my baby. We have been all over Ontario and Quebec, plus about a dozen or so states. Sometimes I like to go out in my garage and polish her and just stare at her. I guess it may be like that classic Harley t-shirt that reads, "If I have to explain it, you probably wouldn't understand".
