Want to ring in the New Year with a bang and dazzling lights? You are in luck this New Year's Eve. The Erie County Fairgrounds in Hamburg will feature a large fireworks display to wrap up their annual Fairgrounds Festival of Lights.

In partnership with the Independent Health Foundation and First Night®, the Fairgrounds Festival of Lights Drive Thru, is offering families the opportunity to ring in the new year on December 31st from the comfort and safety of their vehicle. In addition to the drive thru of light displays, there will be a short fireworks display every hour on the half hour. It is included in the carload admission ticket for the Fairgrounds Festival of Lights. The festival will be open from 5:00-9:00pm.

This is an incredible way to end what was a pretty good year at the Erie County Fairgrounds. I'm sure organizers would have liked more snow for the lights display this season. However, attendance seemed to be pretty strong and the 12 day stretch of the Erie County Fair this past August saw strong attendance in a pandemic era.

Organizers at the Erie County Fair are proud of the newest ranking that puts the EC Fair at the second largest county fair in the United States!

Need tickets for the last night of the Fairgrounds Festival of Lights? Admission must be purchased online in advance at www.FairgroundsHoliday.com. With your purchase, receive exclusive discounts for items at Tops Friendly Markets (for a limited time).
The First Night® Party Packs are available at participating Tops Markets for $20, while supplies last.
