There is about to be an entirely new group of people entering in to New York State and it all started January 1st, 2025.

The New Year is here and as we see a new set of laws go in to place, New York State has also raised the minimum wage! Workers in most of New York State will now receive $15.50 per hour while others near New York City will get more than $16 per hour.

But there are other exciting things to look forward to as 2025 gets going and they are arriving in hospitals from Buffalo to Albany and every town in between!

Now that we are a quarter of the way through the century, families around the world are welcoming the next generation.

According to multiple reports, newborn babies in 2025 are part of the "BETA GENERATION". The USA Today reports that "Babies born in the new year, and for the 14 years following, will make up the newest generation: Generation Beta. Its members will explore new digital landscapes, many of which we likely can't fathom now, and see the next century".

In 2023, there were more than 200,000 babies born in New York State and nearly 3.6 million born across the United States!

That being the standard, around 2.9 million Beta Generation kids will be born over the next 14 years in New York State!

We have four kids and as I wrote this article about babies, it is exciting to think about how many families will experience the joys, and frustrations, of raising kids. It is equally as exciting to think about the future and opportunities that are ahead for these kids as well.
