Radio Shack Closing More Stores, WNY Locations Included

Things aren't looking great fro Radio Shack, for the second time in two years they have filed for bankruptcy. In the original statement on their bankruptcy Radio Shack said they would only be closing 200 stores. However, it has now been announced that it's 552 stores that will be closing. It was just two years ago when Radio Shack closed multiple locations in WNY after their first bankruptcy and now it looks like more are coming with their second announcement.

According to Business Insider, this closure will affect 36% of the stores and those stores being the one's with "lowest sales velocity and highest rent". All of the stores that made the list will be closed by the first week of April.

Here are the stores in WNY listed as closing.

• 1029 Payne Avenue, North Tonawanda
• Niagara Consumer Sq 7312 Niagara Falls Blvd, Niagara Falls
• Wegman’s Plaza, 1593 Military Rd, Niagara Falls
• Town Hall Plaza, 6050 South Park Av, Hamburg
