Two Bills Players Still Want Raising Cane’s Locations in Buffalo
It wasn't that long ago that Buffalo only had the standard fast food places. Your McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, KFC and Subway. It was like that for years.
Western New York did have Krispy Kreme for a short period of time on Niagara Falls Blvd, but then it closed after lackluster sales.
Buffalo finally got Popeye's to the area not too long ago and then a few years after that, Chick-fil-A finally brought a location to Cheektowaga. Now, Chick-fil-A has three locations in Western New York and who knows, we might get more.
There are still a few big-time fast food places which have not yet come to Buffalo.
You think of places such as Bojangles, Culver's, Hardee's, Cook Out, Jack In the Box and Waffle House.
Another fast food place that is not in Western New York is Raising Cane's.
The chicken finger fast food place is about to open in New York City, but there's no word yet on when they will be bringing locations in Buffalo; there are quite a few locations in Ohio and of course, many in the southeast.
If you remember last year, two Bills players made noise on Twitter, trying to get Raising Cane's to come to Buffalo.
Bills fullback Reggie Gilliam first tweeted that Raising Cane's should come to Buffalo back in August.
Raising Cane's tweeted they were not in Buffalo "yet"...
Bills long snapper Reid Ferguson joined the charge with Gilliam. He even tagged Raising Cane's Todd Graves (CEO, founder).
Ferguson was asked by a Bills fan if they can help finance a Raising Cane's to Buffalo. Ferguson said they have tried but they don't do franchises yet.
I don't think I have seen two players for a sports team lobby this hard for a fast food restaurant to come to the city they play in.
Let's get a Raising Cane's to Western New York.
