One of the things that sets Buffalo apart from most places is the quality of local food. We take pride in our local food options. It isn’t just wings and pizza, but upscale restaurants as well.

Western New York also has many local restaurants with more than one location.

The business has been hit hard since the start of the pandemic in March of 2020, however. We’ve seen many great places close down or take a leave of absence because of the loss of revenue.

One popular Buffalo restaurant has made the difficult decision to close one of their locations.

According to its Facebook page, Sato Brewpub is closing its downtown location.

Sato Brewpub is located on Pearl Street. Its last day will be Saturday, May 7th.

Sato is keeping its SATO on Elmwood and Sato Ramen on Main Street locations open though, so no worries there. They feel this is the best thing for their family-owner business and to continue serving Buffalo and Western New York.

It’s unfortunate the brewpub location is closing. Sato is a great spot for both food and drinks and the Pearl Street location is close to our offices in downtown Buffalo.

Sato offers amazing Japanese cuisine with a loyal following. Definitely try one of the remaining two locations if you have never been.
