How's this for a two-fer? Scotty McCreery brought his new single 'See You Tonight' to 'The Tonight Show With Jay Leno' on Monday night (June 3), making for a whole lot of 'tonight' in one segment.

But, it worked for both the country singer and the late night talk show host and his audience.

'See You Tonight,' which should appear on McCreery's upcoming sophomore album -- the followup to the successful 'Clear as Day' --  is a great, upbeat song for summer. Also, performing on 'Leno' is a familiar scenario for the college student and Season 10 'American Idol' winner, as he's done it many times. He's a welcome guest that never, ever disappoints. Those two elements combined made this a great performance.

McCreery, who has been honing his craft for several years now, looked comfortable, at ease and confident as ever while delivering the uptempo romantic song. He's clearly in his element.

Backed by a capable band, it felt like we were at a Scotty McCreery concert in Anytown, U.S.A., as opposed to watching on the boob tube late at night when we should have been stacking Zs. But as any McCreerians will attest to -- there's always time to sleep.
