I don't know about anyone else but I love country Christmas songs. I mean, Christmas songs, in general, are great but there's just something special about country ones.

You can feel free to disagree but these seven country Christmas songs are pretty iconic and ones I grew up listening to.

1) Alan Jackson - "Let It Be Christmas"

This is probably my favorite of them all. The melody and lyrics truly move you and love this time of year.

2) Vince Vance & the Valiants - "All I Want For Christmas Is You"

Back before Mariah Carey had her signature pop hit of the same name, Vince Vance & the Valiants released their song in 1989 but it re-entered the country chart numerous times throughout the 90s and even early 2000s. A classic.

3) Alabama - "Christmas in Dixie"

This one is really nostalgic. I loved listening to this great song by Alabama during those December nights.

4) Clint Black - "'Til Santa's Gone (Milk and Cookies)"

One of those holiday songs made just for kids. Clint Black is actually narrating as a kid on Christmas Eve.

5) Joe Diffie - "LeRoy the Redneck Reindeer"

This is one of those hilarious Christmas songs that you can't help but laugh at.

6) Martina McBride - "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas"

This song has been done so many times but Martina McBride's version is as close to perfect as you'll get. When I think of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas", this is the version I imagine.

7) Skip Ewing - "Christmas Carol"

When I was growing up I used to listen to the radio as my mom made Christmas cookies. I once heard this song about an orphan girl born on Christmas Day who visits a mall Santa and says all she wants for the holiday is for someone to adopt her...it's been a favorite every year, since. Incredible song.
