Bills Player Takes a Shot at the Jets Front Office After the Win
The Buffalo Bills' biggest over over recent years has been the New England Patriots. The Kansas City Chiefs have now took a run at that distinction, after the back-to-back playoff matchups.
However, we are now starting to see the Miami Dolphins come back into focus for a bitter rival, and even the New York Jets.
The Jets have never really been a huge division rival for the Bills. Even back before realignment, the Jets and Colts were the afterthoughts for division rivals for Bills fans.
After this season, it appears the Jets are once again a team that Bills fans should fear, because of their stout defense.
The Bills pulled off an ugly in on Sunday at Highmark Stadium, 20-12.
Nothing came easy for the Bills offense, but the Jets offense also had a rough time getting things going. Buffalo's pass rush was part of that reason, as they pressured Jets quarterback Mike White all game; even knocking him out of the game, twice.
Bills defensive end Shaq Lawson had a good game on Sunday and it's been a resurgence of his career this season.
Lawson re-signed with the Bills in the off-season. He was with Buffalo from 2016-2019.
Lawson spent time with the Miami Dolphins and Houston Texans, before spending time with the Jets.
However, the Jets cut Lawson in week 17 of the 2021 season. That was in order to save $9 million against the salary cap.
In thee dying seconds of Sunday's win, Lawson noticed the camera and said, " they playing with my nine million dollars."
Jets fans were less than thrilled in the replies.
Jets head coach Robert Saleh said that they will see the Bills again, referring to a potential playoff matchup, so this quiet divisional rivalry has sparked again with new life.
